Can we make this thread just a "ask about the lore" post? What happened to the Ishtar researchers after their simulations got pulled out of the Vex? Are they still alive?

The four scientist survived the vex simulation thanks to the help of a warmind. They also retrieved 227 mind copies of themselves from the vex simulation as well. Later they put the 227 mind copies of themselves into the vex network as explorers. It is believed this is a precursor research that eventually results in the technology to create Exos. One of the scientist, Maya Sundaresh was involved in another project later on called the vision machine. The vision machine was intended to allow people to view alternate timelines and get Intel. Maya became obsessed with the device and is considered to be the founder of the FWC, who still use the device to this day.

Then the Vex became aggressive and attacked Oryx in the hope of emulating him as a Hive God.
