The Stormtroopers in the prequels were clones. In the originals they were not clones. They were already starting conscription , just not the age "The First Order" is taking them at. The Clones in the Prequels were amazing soldiers , the Troopers in the originals were bumbling idiots. How do you reconcile that? Also in the Rebels cartoon it shows Rex as a very old man(still 5 to 10 years before "A New Hope"). Most of the Clones had aged out of service by the time "A New Hope" happens.
