MIDA wasn't available when Pulse's where an issue. Thorn was ripped from the Meta because they left it behind, not the nerfs. As much as I agree with you, I disagree with you, ToO is the much needed counter to Raids. It gives the hardcore players something to achieve. It is the ONLY thing competitive in Destiny. ToO needs to stay
