Depends on what you mean. It takes less skill to be successful with a shotty than a sniper. But it's easier to get good kd and dominate with a sniper since shotty puts you right up in harms way

That is what I like about shotguns. I can dominate with either one, but I find closing the gap to enemies and shotgunning them in the face so much more entertaining than sitting back and sniping from a safe distance. I don't consider skill to be a factor in my opinion. I like the excitement from the high risk/high reward situations that often come from running around with a shotgun.
