Hello, Destiny is not in the backwards compatibility program so you will need to buy Destiny for your Xbox one unless you bought the digital version before January 15th at 1am PST.
The Dark Below and House of Wolves will upgrade for free due to the digital upgrade promotion.
You will also need to buy The Taken King again.

Because Destiny is not in the backwards compatibility program you won't be able to play with others cross console.
You can only play with those who use the same console as you.

Also, If I play on the Xbox one and then go back to my 360, will my progress be saved there as well? Say I do the raid on the Xbox 1 and get a bunch of 310 gear, will I still have that gear when I go back to 360? Also, do you think backwards compatibility is possible for destiny? I personally don't believe it will be put in the backwards compatibility program. The program itself is for games that are not on next gen systems. And Microsoft don't even have the final say, the developers would. I don't think it would happen.
