This would be more like "Air Force veterans day"
Its unnessecary when you could do a Veterans' Day. It devalues the non-air force veterans while at the same time making itself less important because there would inevitably be an Army, Navy, Coast Guard veteran's days.
So basically the implication is that there should just be a lgbt day instead of separate ones? That's a problem because the T has been forgotten and shoved out of the way until recently. And the T is an entirely different thing compared to the lgb. And as I told someone else, the only true reason they have a day is logistics. It's easier to have a day set every year to plan memorial services. It's not like its a trans pride day, its just a day the community set aside to remember their loved ones. Im sure you didn't even know this was a thing till today, its been going on since 1999 and only now gets attention, because trans people are getting attention.
