Hey guys idk if anyone else has discovered this but it works really well. If you have a ghost that detects spinmetal/ helium filaments/ relic iron.. You'll notice the range is pretty small. BUT IF YOU SCOPE IN WITH A GUN YOU CAN INCREASE THE RANGE OF YOUR MATERIAL DETECTION. That means if you have a sniper with max range you can locate materials from the other side of the map. This makes the exotic sword quest so much easier. It took me about an hour to finish gathering materials!
