I'm sorry but to be a good community manner, in your context, you have to be -blam!-ing Jesus. These forum posters have no problem cursing him out or swearing at his mother, if they got an exotic they can't use. To survive you need thick skin and an witty attitude. Food for thought.

The job has nothing to do with passing on info,or making you all happy, at it's core it is being the punching bag for the community to stop them killing each other, the other duties are secondary

So basically what you are saying is that your job is being a liaison between the developers and the community and to interact with the community in a generally positive way? I think he already said that.
