Hello, First things first, one thing you can try is manually updating Destiny to see if that'll have any change at all. A guide on how to do so for your specific console is found here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12630 Before you do that, there are a few things you'll want to do. One - is clearing the cache on your console. Completely power it off and unplug the power source from the back. Two - while your console idle, take a look at your network gear. Power-cycle your router/modem by disconnecting your router, then your modem if you have one. Let them sit for 30 seconds at least. Reestablish your connect by connecting your modem, then your router. Now boot up your console an attempt a manual update. You also want to make sure that your installation is actually being disrupted before you assume that whatever blip your network is having is the cause. Usually players report that their installation takes a while and gets stuck at certain points, and will continue or automatically finish later without any actual indication of progress being made. If your installation is still spinning and progressing, make sure you let it sit for a while and do it's thing even if your network bugs out. Now, I'm not sure what the blip is being caused by but I do know how you can try to avoid it. Assuming your connected via wireless, I'd advise trying a more stable method of connection like a wired cable, or removing obstructions between your console and your household router. If you notice your internet does this periodically, I'd recommend contacting your ISP. Good luck.

Hey there, Metni. Thanks for the reply! To start, I'm going to look at that manual updating you mentioned and see where I can go with that. But as an addendum; I've tried a wired connection and the same thing happened after a few hours. What is happening is the installation actually hits an error when the net drops for that tiny fraction - completely wiping the progress it made. If it seemed frozen, I would have just let it sit. But it wipes off the page and just gives me a button to exit. This is the same thing that happens when you, for example, just switch off the network all together while it is in the process of updating anything via network. As such, I'm convinced that, while it doesn't screw up streaming games, the console is interpreting the interruption as consequential enough to abort the updating all together. UPDATE: It worked! After following your advice (cache clearing and power-cycle) the update installation actually made it through the entire 8GB without cutting out. Took 9 hours, but still! Ha. Now I can play the game and it runs smoothly. Thanks for the help.
