I've soloed on Normal. For anyone desiring to attempt a solo run on Heroic or Legendary, be prepared to tear your hair out. It's Halo 2 Jackals all over again.

Don't worry, I never spoil (unless you PM me and deliberately ask me for the answer). Simple rating: 9/10, wish we had a bit more backstory/explanations. Turn on subtitles. Breakdown:
I usually don't like to rate things until I've had time to play them 2 or 3 times, but seeing as that is not going to happen before launch day, here goes. I'd give the audio a 10/10, easily. The dialogue was well written, the voice-acting was well done, the SFX were believable, and the music...it was so good. The graphics, again, 10/10. I think H2A had better CGI but Halo 5's was still absolutely stunning. Outside of the cutscenes, the environments of each level are absolutely breathtaking. I know I'm sounding like a buzzword-generating review site but the skyboxes are so detailed. You'll see it for yourself. Now for the plot...Again, no spoilers, don't worry. The story is a weird one. First, 343i basically assumes that you already know how Blue Team came to be. For book readers like myself, this isn't much of a problem, but I can't help but feel as though the non-readers are going to be a little confused. Even FIreteam Osiris has absolutely no introduction. The lack of these introductions isn't all that bad though, as I'd rather get to the meat of the story and figure out the backstory later. The storyline has an interesting twist to it, something that the advertisements and Hunt the Truth didn't even hint at. Of course I will not tell you, but damn was it crazy as hell. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the ending. It's a huge cliffhanger, like Halo 2's "Finish the Fight" ending. Now, I wasn't able to do a Legendary run, so there may be a bit more in regards to the ending but for now, I don't know.
Damn those cliffhangers!!! Yeah, it's a shame those introductions aren't made more clear for those who don't read the books or the marketing material. Like you said, it shouldn't be a problem for those of us who keep up on lore but this is the same problem Halo 4 had. Shame they couldn't fix it. I cannot wait to play this, though. Hopefully the game lets me play at midnight.
