I blame the people and the weapon. I blame a gun more than a knife because of the 2 deaths vs 20 deaths respectively. Improving gun safety, gun training/education, and gun ownership requirements universally will help mitigate gun violence. Of course, these won't solve the issue alone.

  • Switzerland does this, but they aren't too far away from us in gun violence. They also don't have gang violence from drug induced related crime. We live above the most violent drug countries on earth and most of our gun violence comes from drug issues. We will always be naturally more violent that other European countries. Guns or no guns. Also gotta remember most gun deaths are from gang violence, suicides, self defense and yes, innocents get killed, but I'm sure crime, and break ins will easily overshadow innocents being killed if guns were banned. No one talks about the crazed lunatics who get killed after breaking into people's homes, but everyone talks about the schools being shot up. It's all about what makes news and o course Europe isn't going to put the former situation on their news when they have guns banned.

From what I understand, as individual gun ownership goes up in America, the number of mass shootings goes down but the number of gun homicides goes way up. You seem kind of apathetic judging from your post, would you say that's accurate or do you support some sort of solution/agenda?
