I had purchased The Taken King on my Xbox 360 digitally and have been a year one player so it was only $40 and I didn't need to purchase the other expansions (making it $60). However, I just recently got the Xbox One and was hoping I could just redownload the Taken King onto my console for free, but they are telling me that I need to not only purchase it again, but that I need to purchase the $60 bundle as my Console does not currently have the other expansions... Not gonna lie, I'm pretty pissed, is Bungie really screwing people over like this or am I just missing something...

Why would they give the game to you for free? So are you pissed all the other Xbox games you own weren't given to you for free because you decided to upgrade to Xbox one? Unfortunately you bought an Xbox 360 game. Not Xbox one.

Year one physical copy with pre-ordered codes for both expansions, digital purchase of taken king all on Xbox 360. Was just surprised with an Xbox one and so far my research is telling me this: I have to buy the base game and buy the taken king again. I can reinstall the dark below and house of wolves because I entered the codes before Jan 15th. If this is correct please confirm Bungie.

The physical base game I can maybe understand since 360 isn't playable on one, but taken king digital not upgradeable is a scam. I liked destiny, but I don't $250 like it. Soooo...another discontented guardian, signing off for good. Well played Bungie/Activision. You have set the bar high for screwing over your community.

Yeah idk I just feel like there was so much hype about Destiny letting you switch games for free and when in reality there are some requirements that you need to have in order for it to be free... Idk maybe it was my stupidity that accidentally looked that requirement over but still would've been nice
