I'm really digging the left hand, and the pose overall is good. Interesting idea to lay down such a strong texture on the robes as it is on the verge of looking plastic, but I think you did alright :>
Thanks, Proghost :)
The thing with the heavy texturing is based on two points:
1) It's not so easy to discern which kind of materials the Guardians armours are made of... for example, Warlock robes are simply... ehm... robes. It's interesting to note that Titans are heavy armored while Warlocks are not, but in the end this doesn't matter so much in term of defense. So I imagined the robes must rely on some kind of special materials that deflects the incoming fire using the energy of the Light;
2) It's part of my style to be very realistic in particular parts and then stylized in some other parts. The robe was pretty much stylized, an artistic rendition instead of a realistic one.
Thanks again! I'm currently working on a Masterchief piece now, but after that I'll do the last part of this series... "Strenght", with the Titan.
Can't wait for your MC.
I liked this one a lot though, there's movement and love the textures.
My guardian has no intellect, completely dumb, but boy can she throw grenades.
Ah ah!
Yes, the idea behind my series is to use the three basic values and to couple them with the races by affinity, not utility: Intellect for Warlock, Discipline for Hunters and of course Strength for Titans. I should have done it with the Attack, Defense and Agility values, I know, but it would have lost in poetry, I guess :D
For the MC one, I'll start it after finishing the Inktober challenge on Facebook this month :) and thanks for your kind words!
