I joined Dead Orbit just to get it. It's beautiful. I haven't found a weapon to match it in TTK.... exotic or legendary.

Firefly doesn't just damage multiple enemies around your target with a single round (which is amazing and efficient for mobs) but it also staggers them preventing them from returning fire and making them an easy target for the next precision shot. No high rate of fire or impact can compensate for that advantage.
