Right, but after all that talk of keeping your old gear current and competitive with the new gear when HoW came out, it's extra annoying. The fact that old gear is not a competitive [i]option[/i] anymore, is what I take issue with. Limiting player choice in this way is just not a good thing. I'm not saying it's the worst thing ever, and TTK is still fun, and this doesn't "ruin" the whole game, but it's certainly not a good thing.

What do you want them to do? When they let people upgrade weapons, no body used anything but VoG guns, then complained about lack of variety. The vanilla guns were far too powerful, so they are being left behind. Fatebringer was god-tier, Ghorn was sex in a heavy slot. They were too good. They're obviously the best option to pick, and when something is obviously the best option, it's the only thing anyone will ever pick.

Fair point, but I think leaving behind almost everything, especially armor, is an over-correction.
