So my buddy and me played 5 games of Inferno skirmish where all that the other team did was hide in the most secluded and insane places throughout the match and just sit there waiting for us to stumble across them.
All the games ended in overtime. All they did was get a few kills (3 to 5 at most; combined) and then hide. They won every game by overtime 'cause they hid the entire time like little bitches.
They all used Thorn and a shotgun so when you did stumble upon them they killed you instantly.
I know I'll get butchered for saying anything bad about these geniuses, but I did report them for cheating. And it was cheating.
Yes, it was kind of fun and refresing to not play the same game type you always get in Destiny, because this was different, yes. I did learn that there are places to hide and camp on those maps that I would never think about, 'cause of the radar. So yeah, it was a new experiance. But by the end it was just anoying.
All they did was wait for their super to charge up, then rush and just Fist of Panic us one by one, so no matter how many you killed, one of them would wipe us out and they get their advantage. And then hide again. If you managed to find and kill one of them, you'd get sniped to oblivion 'cause they set up in a way that finding one of them led to you being a sitting duck for another one of them.
In conclusion, it was just wrong. New and kind of refreshing, intense. But wrong in the end.

8 回复由Crowley编辑: 8/28/2015 2:20:47 PMThey weren't cheating at all, what they did was, if anything, a tribute to the HLG days of Halo haha. Bringing back the good old pacifist play. For those who weren't around for Halo 3 or may not have known, there was a small team of players who called themselves the Hidden Masters, and they called their play style HLG (Hidden League Gaming), the less serious counterpart to MLG players. They would start every game by getting about a 3 kill lead, and then hide the very best they could without being discovered, until the game ended. Some of their spots were on ground level but still easy to miss, other spots involved a series of trick jumps and team jumps and were so good that you had to know where those spots were to even think of looking there. They blew up and had a movement that got a pretty decent sized following, spawning other groups that followed their style and many players trying to adopt hiding tactics into games for fun. I did that. Often. It was hilarious. Your opponents weren't cheating, they simply wanted to avoid violence unless absolutely necessary lol.

I hope you have not been playing inferno since then, because it is clearly not your time of game, play capture the zones where players have to move around and radars tell you "everything" you need to know to kill someone. I like Inferno even though I only played pvp because of the thorn bounty using void damage which handicapped me with limited options in terms of subclass and weapons I could use...

3 回复Not cheating. Just playing wisely. It's the park the bus mentality in soccer. Once a lead has been gained keep it by not allowing the other team to score. Cheap maybe but effective.

1 回复由Siniskamikaze编辑: 8/29/2015 1:27:44 AMPeople have a word for what you're describing.. It's called "strategy" .. No matter how frustrating it was for you it is still no cheating .. For example if one opponent acts like a bait so you can be sniped then it is strategy not cheating .. Next time encounter these kind of fights with a different approach.. People play in different ways , respect that instead of reporting anyone who is not rushing on your team trying to outheadshot you

1 回复That's not cheating. You're just bad. You lost at Hide and Seek. Next time, you hide first and let them stumble onto you.

2 回复They sound like assholes, but I still have to agree with the rest not cheating. I'd say it's more of an exploit, like the dreaded bubble exploit

Since when is camping an area cheating. If you hard scope a doorway or hallway waiting for someone is that considered cheating. It's the same thing. They figured they would lose the match if the just ran around so they used a different tactic. Sure it's cheap but it's not cheating.

5 回复That is not cheating by any stretch and it is a legitimate strategy, and probably a very good one. A very boring one, from what it sounds like, but a good one.
