Translated: The devs just failed so hard that they couldn't figure out new creative ways to implement newer weapons that would be just as interested if not cooler compared to the old ones. As such, the new stuff can't stand on its own merit, just like the Dark Below all over again. Its ok, half a year later when they add something similar to Etheric Light, I'm sure someone (not me) will be there telling you "That guy Malphisto told ya so." =P We've already been through this whole shebang one time with the first DLC.
