Where have I been! June 23, 2015 Breaking Benjamin released their new album 'Dark Before Dawn'! If you're unsure of who Breaking Benjamin is, they're the ones who produced 'Blow Me Away', a song featured in a lot of Halo media. The song is even featured in the original Halo 2 game during the mission on High Charity. The lead singer, Benjamin Burnley, was struck with an illness a few years ago. This along with a legal dispute over the band's name led to the band's temporary demise. Needless to say, Burnley won the rights to his band's name. Whilst the form if his illness is still a secret, Burnley is quoted saying that he gave up worrying about his illness in exchange for creating music again. The new album is very emotional, with deep lyrics regarding faith and struggle. The lyrical style of 'Dark Before Dawn' is reflective of Burnley's struggle with illness. Arguably, Dark Before Dawn is one of Breaking Benjamin's best albums. Blending the style of their previous albums with surprisingly poetic lyrics.
