Destiny is a gambling simulator
Destiny is basically a Vegas slot machine with guns. Gamespot truly exposes Bungievision for their unethical tactics in this video. I suggest you all watch it and be enlightened, you naive Desticles.

If anything, Destiny is a crack simulator. edit - which I am personally really happy for. I kind of enjoyed cocaine back in my 20's ... a lot. Destiny is a lot healthier, and cheaper. All these idiots complaining about a $40 DLC have obviously never went through an 8 ball of coke in a day before.

People seem to misunderstand what the point of the video was. It wasn't to bash Destiny,it was scrutinizing it's obvious deployment of RNG,lack of content and huge price tags. Though stated, that ultimately ,the price is irrelevant given enough play time like the majority of us. Much of the controversy/greatness with destiny is explained in this video. It's clear a majority didn't watch the video as gambling had nothing go do with it,it was clearly the same psychological mechanism that go into slot machines. I will say,we are all pigeons pecking the disc. Sad to see it put into a context like that but fck is it true.

Idgaf, I like to gamble - and I like that I can gamble with my friends while blowing off steam and shooting aliens, instead of hitting the slots and ruining my life. [spoiler]people treat games like they're real life... It's stupid. It's a game, better off to be gambling here than in real life.[/spoiler]

Totally agree, but like is being said we do this as our hobby and in our free time. Instead of dropping real money every time and ruining plenty of lives like REAL gambling has done Destiny is harmless. Yes you have time invested, but what else would you be doing with that time otherwise? I enjoy the rush and the chase of trying to find that weapon or grind for that upgrade.
