In response to that second quote, particularly, "why not seek each other out here" I can only say, why not give us a true social space in game to seek each other out. I will almost always ignore random invites from the tower with no explanation as to why you want me to join your fireteam. Would it be so difficult to at least give us a bulletin board in game to enlist help or put together a raiding party? The lounge that only gets traffic one out of every eight xur visits comes to mind.
