I'm definitely excited.
I just got Gears 3 free with Gold and I'm loving every minute.
There's something extremely satifying about plowing through a scrub with the Retro Lancer.
I'm also gonna get the Ultimate Edition, seeing as I was 8 when the original Gears came out.

I am excited for it too. Gears 3 is a the best in most people's eyes. Ultimate Gears Beta MP was more similar to 3 than the original a lot of fun. I will pick this up too. =} [spoiler]8? man that makes me feel old ={[/spoiler]

gears 3 had the most solid netcode of the trilogy. shotguns weren't random depending on if your team had host. rubberbanding lag didn't happen as often and usually wasn't as bad. in gears 1/2 if you didn't have host, your team usually didn't win because of hit detection randomness. that's why they are basing UE off of 3 instead of GoW1.

Ahh I see that makes a lot of sense. I couldn't really understand why Gears 2 was so hated but that makes more sense. Think I mainly played solo or coop on campaign and hoard. I liked all the trilogy but 2 was my favourite. [spoiler]I liked Judgement too, I know lol [/spoiler] I have to say I agree Gears Ultimate felt more like 3 than the original Gears.
