Pluto isn't a planet, and shouldn't be. I doubt it will be included. Especially since it's environment is similar with the moon.

由YxolloxY编辑: 7/14/2015 1:21:27 PMpluto is currently classified as a dwarf planet edit: from wikipedia: Pluto (minor-planet designation: 134340 Pluto) is a dwarf planet in the Kuiper belt and the first trans-Neptunian object to be discovered. It is the largest and second-most massive known dwarf planet in the Solar System and the ninth largest and tenth-most massive known object directly orbiting the Sun. It is the largest known trans-Neptunian object by volume but is less massive than scattered-disc dwarf planet Eris. Like other Kuiper belt objects, Pluto is primarily made of rock and ice[13] and is relatively small—about one-sixth the mass of the Moon and one-third its volume. It has a moderately eccentric and inclined orbit during which it ranges from 30 to 49 astronomical units (4.4–7.3 billion km) from the Sun. This means that Pluto periodically comes closer to the Sun than Neptune, though an orbital resonance with Neptune prevents them from colliding. In 2014, Pluto was 32.6 AU from the Sun. Light from the Sun takes about 5.5 hours to reach Pluto at its average distance (39.4 AU).[14]

My point stands that it is not an planet, I didn't even think about it being a dwarf planet. I'm surprised there's evidence against what I thought. Thank you for enlightening me. Goes to show what an eleven year old knows.

由YxolloxY编辑: 7/14/2015 1:28:23 PMgoes to show what wikipedia knows :P although I had that in the back of my mind because I had.. read somewhere that pluto was classified as a planet again... or something... also: http://weknowmemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/dear-nasa-your-mom-thought-i-was-big-enough.jpg

Not really. Pluto even has snow, according to the scientists in the press conference that just aired. Also. Is the Dreadnought a planet? I think not. And since Bungie only has short sections of the planets in the games anyway, it doesnt matter how small Pluto is.

I agree with you on every point, but Pluto is just an asteroid. I suppose with the ice it might be considered a comet, but there are even bigger things than Pluto in the same area, and so I don't understand why it wouldn't classified as a planet too. IMO I don't think Pluto should be w planet. Other than that, I agree with you.

Pluto was considered a planet until about 5 years ago until astronomers "conveniently" redefined what a planet is, specifically to exclude Pluto. Because we finally started being able to see far enough into the Kuiper Belt ( region of asteriods, comets and debris out beyond Pluto's orbit)....and realized that there were mulitiple objects in the Belt that were Pluto's size or larger. But Pluto is a (dwarf) planet because it: 1. Is large enough to generate enough gravity to compress it into a spheroidal shape (so it isnt' an asteroid). 2. Is able to clear out other objects from its orbit (except Neptune whose orbit it crosses) 3. Has its own system of satellites (moons).
