They took them out because they were supposedly overpowered. But look at thorn.

The current stuff from the crucible and vanguard vendors well go away A and change when TTK comes, and those will change with the next xpan and so on. Eventually they may change/rotate exotic bounties, but I doubt it. I think they would require to much brain power on bungies part to accomplish.

I'd like to see them take that out of the game for a while. See what the community has to say then. I mean yeah of course it'll be a huge group of ten year old noobs who don't know how to do anything but point and shoot but I'd like to see it.
