Yes, there will always be OP weapons. But we can aim for having OP weapons being used only slightly more(say 5% or less) than average weapons. That would indicate that the weapon's advantages are minor enough for personal preference to play a larger role. Thorn isn't at that stage. Thorn is almost used more than every other weapon combined.

OP weapons tend to be the one whoever is screaming nerf got killed by. Exotics just stand out more because of the name being memorable and so get screamed about more. what baffles me is surely everyone has most if not all of the weapons now, so what are they using? In my experience, it is the connection (or lack of) that kills more than any particular weapon.
