Here's my bottom line with Destiny. Was it absolute garbage? Not at all. Was it the best game of all time? Not at all. Like every game, Destiny has its strengths (Raids and the gameplay in general) and weaknesses (The story, or lack thereof). Bungie may have given us a significantly less-than-satisfying story than they promised us at early stages of promotion simply because they had a good writer then. When a development team has to completely scrap a story that they've been working on for almost 7 years and make another one in about 9 months, you shouldn't expect something groundbreaking. And you wouldn't tell people your story is going to be garbage because you're making it in such a short amount of time because people wouldn't intentionally buy a game with a story that the DEVELOPERS tell you is garbage.
