Prison of Elders random teleport
I have enjoyed the new Prison of Elders content quite a bit. However, I have been teleported across the map, usually to a spawn point, several times. This has happened on both the Hive map and the Vex boss map.
There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. On all occasions, I was not hiding or holing up in a small area of the map. I was definitely not idle. These teleports separated me from my team and as a bubble-titan, my ability to support my teammates is directly linked to my proximity to them.
Please tell me that this is a bug and not a randomness-generating mechanism. Prison of Elders is fun because it requires teamwork and, especially on higher levels, planning. Random teleports, such as into the spawn point of cursed thralls (which immediately detonates them), hinder both planning or teamwork. The teleports only take away from the PoE and Destiny experience with no value added. It is a net loss that makes PoE less of a challenge and more like something to be endured.

Happened to me for the first time last night at several points while fighting Gulrot. Our team was 3 Hunters so we had no bubble. No one was trying to cheese. If you put a stack of crates with space behind them near a corner on a platform with stairs leading to it, that is called "cover", no different from the blast walls or pillars. Given that the mechanic of the boss fight is to take cover while slowed, it makes no sense to punish players for doing just that. It's not like enemies don't pursue you up there, and I was teleported a few times while fighting and backpedaling. If the object is to keep you moving and out of certain areas, why not at least give a warning and countdown timer like the out of bounds warning that you get at the edge of cliffs when doing a patrol? This is just lazy level design.

In one case it even teleported two of our team at once to two different locations. In another case, it teleported me out of a prison shield and of course I died because I couldn't drop the shield if I am on the other end of the map - that one was a wipe. Regardless, Bungie needs to fix that.

In the Hive map, the back left corner has areas along the wall you can step into that are out of the playable map. The poster was saying you can look at your armor and weapon buffs on the bottom left corner and if they are not showing, you are not in the map and will be teleported. 5 回复I like the teleports! Everyone is all defending a location then blam you are zapped to the middle of the map and all hell is breaking loose! What was once a quiet fire team soon lights up from the excitement! If you CONSTANTLY move you will not be teleported.

1 回复由TurtleBrainMan编辑： 6/4/2015 8:33:46 AMThis seems to be an issue when touching the outermost wall of the arena...its common in hive room due to the fact that the most defensable area is also very narrow..do not move too close to the wall for too long..you will be teleported in the middle of shooting at an enemy

That happened to me heaps last time I did the hive arena. Me and my team go into the back right corner of the hive map, we find it is the best place to recover health and kill enemies easily. However, we find that if we go right into the corner behind the futuristic crates, it will teleport one of us back to the start, usually killing the person because of all the enemies. I think it could be a bug, or its something that Bungie actually put in to encourage a firefight, which is cruel if your changing weapons and using synthesis.

Also I would like to add that the enemies would teleport besides me. This is frequent in the Fallen area where the mine that spawns in mid(the one you defuse). I found it happens when the round starts and you're standing there. The dregs/vandals would just pop up behind you, don't know why this happens.

Bump This seems like a cruel ploy to "attempt to make content harder". To try and stop camping, and snipers, [b]or mess with players that are trying to reload synth, or switch guns in the fabulous "go into menu screen to use snyth" Bungie plan[/b]

Fully agree, it doesn't look like a bug because there is a white flare when it happens. It does destroy fire team cohesion, I was never inactive when I got "beam me up Scottie". Inactive in POE is dead man walking in any case, the lag on ammo synth is a health risk as is as changing weps.

Has only happened to me when I had my back against a wall on the exterior edge of a map. The game will think you are hiding in the airlock. So I think standing against the extreme edge of the map the game loses your position and automatically thinks you are not on the map (in airlock) and throws you into the action. Stay off the walls. Or it's lag.

Ya, this is incredibly annoying... This happens every time I play PoE, and when playing on 34 or 35 it's completely unacceptable. The only way to win these is to have a plan, good teamwork and coordination. This doesn't work when you're randomly teleported to the bosses feet so he can step on you. If this is an intended mechanic of PoE it needs to be removed right away, and if it's a bug it needs to be fixed asap.

The only time i was teleported is when I went to hide in a corner, I learned since that moment to not camp. Now I have to do all my ammo popping in a bubble, or just try to be as fast as the game allows while in combat.
