How long have you been a gamer? When did you start?
For me it was November 23rd, 1987
Only reason I remember exactly is because my dad bought me an atari 2600 for my 5th birthday. He played it more than me lol.
So, gamer since 1987.
What about you?

1 回复Idk. I can say I first started playing games at arcades (kinda) when I was like 4 or 5. All thanks to the fact my dad at the time was a manager at pistol Pete's pizza (sorta like peter piper pizza). Every month my aunts and mom would take me to his work and we would get free pizza and tokens (probably came out of his pocket actually. The pizza anyways. Not the tokens) and I would play games like ms PAC man, carnevil, time crisis, tekken, mortal kombat, metal slug x, house of the dead, and well. A lot of old arcade Cabinets. My favorites by far back then was time crisis 2 and house of the dead. (Yeah that's right. When I was like 7 I was wrecking on those 2 games) but my first system was the Sega genesis. Though the only game I ever played on it was vector man. Oh the nostalgia.

1 回复I was pretty passive about video games until about 89. Sometime around my 11th birthday, Strider came out on the NES. That was most likely the first game I got totally hooked on and lead to long hours of looking for secrets and perfecting double jumps. Video games had been around me much longer than that and is been playing games as far back as '82-'83 maybe? Kings Quest 3 and Starflight were my first forays into PC gaming. Though I often had limited time on my Dad's work PC, so I stuck to consoles. The early '90s were definitely the pinnacle of my gaming years. I backed off for a while until MGS and FFVII came out for the PSX and played that system off and on for a while. I got back into gaming with the PS2 and my computer in the late '90s and early 2000s. I ran off and joined the army around then and didn't have as much time to game for a while, but ended up getting hooked on WoW. That put a damper on the console again until I got a PS3 in 2008. After that I went back and forth, occasionally getting hooked on a game for a few weeks or a month. It stayed that way until late last year when I got a PS4. Now I rarely get on WoW anymore, but I did level up one of my characters and got a chance to see the new content. I've been rolling from one obsession to the next, while filling the gaps with Destiny. I still keep my SNES emulator handy though... The nostalgia is strong there.

2 回复Did you watch the Atari documentary? It was pretty good and it's on Netflix, I think it's called "Atari: game over"

4 回复Early 1978. Atari 2600. I was 21 at the time (do the math). I had just finished my apprenticeship, and had started earning 'serious' money. I've never looked back...

I was born in 1994. During my time inside my mother I could already sense the games from outside. I am not entirely sure when I started. Maybe when I was around 4 or 5? I mainly played Nintendo first and gameboy stuff.
