The first time I saw the scout rifles I thought, "how in the world does the bullet get from the magazine to the chamber?" I mean, does the bullet have to change position to go into the chamber, meaning not just remain horizontal? How do they even load bullets into the mags of the scout rifles? Yes its a space video game with space magic, but really? The only plausible explanation, someone already mentioned, is the bullets are glimmer( not sure how that would work for lmgs, they physically have bullets). That would explain a lot, like why all the enemies have ammo we can use in our guns. But yes, the designs have some flaws because of how we see them with our current guns.
