I met my girlfriend on these forums, and things are going awesome, we plan to meet up next year if we're still together.
I have in fact confirmed that my girlfriend is actually of the female gender.
What's your opinion on the issue?
Edit: 200 replies?! Crazy, I definitely didn't expect so many.

Hold on! You've got a girlfriend, but you've both never met?!?!? How is that a girlfriend? Call me old-fashioned, but back in my day a girlfriend was someone who was actually stood next to you and who you went to places with! Lol

2 回复I met my wife in a random Yahoo chatroom. We'll be married 11 years this July. We're lucky though. It doesn't work out for everybody.

由AyaYumi编辑: 5/5/2015 4:58:06 AMI think it's a great way to meet someone whom you have the same interests with. If the relationship works out, you can always end up meeting with the person.. Ending up moving together even. I've seen plenty of couples that meet online and that happens. I think it's pretty awesome. Also, hope it works out well for you and your girlfriend :)

3 回复Nothing wrong with it. It has benefits and drawbacks. Pros: - getting to know someones personality without the veil of physical appearance - at least one shared common interest - relatively safe early in the relationship Cons: - after meeting in real life, reality may not live up to expectations - if there is a distance between the two individuals, neither may be willing to give up their offline life to be with the other, preventing the relationship from moving forward - easier for people to hide their true selves/lead a double life All in all, I say it's worth a shot.

由Professor Goodfeels编辑: 5/5/2015 4:05:27 AMTried it before, and was just filled with lies, each time. As interesting as it sounds, I'd prefer to avoid doing it anymore, too much complications, and having trust issues makes things even more difficult.

1 回复I met my boyfriend on Xbox live through a mutual friend. We didn't start dating until after we met in person though. Lol. Turned out we went to the same high school but never saw each other. Been dating two years. Hope everything works out for you and your lady.

3 回复I think it's a great way to meet people with similar interests and high compatibility. However, there is a different way you develop when you bond with somebody in real life.

Online dating isn't for me, I'd rather be able to see the person, touch then and hold then. I personally don't believe that all internet relationships work out, in fact in sure most of them don't. I'm not saying that none of them work, but when you add the fact that you rarely see the person, it puts more strain on the relationship. It's definitely not for everyone
