There is a certain evil genius behind requiring people to go into PVP for exotic bounties.
I initially hated PVP and initially hated every second of the Thorn bounty. I nearly discarded the damn thing. The more I played though, the better I got and once I had a system working with an appropriate build (Defender Titan with Armamentarium and 2 stickies + void rare shottie), I saw the light.
Now I love PVP. I spend an inordinate amount of time in it and it's been a lot of fun.
Maybe most people will not react the same way, but for the small percentage that do, this is a winning move by Bungie to keep people playing their game.
People who boost for the bounty are robbing themselves of the chance to grow to love the Crucible and that's a shame, because you really can have a lot of fun in it.
Same. The Thorn bounty has a way of teaching you how to be good. You learn to make better decisions and how to stay alive to make it as painless as possible, then you're hooked and you even forget to run your raids for the week.
@eikonoklastes I have a similar story to yours, I once hated the Crucible but after getting the Thorn, Invective and Bad Juju I play so much more,I'm not the best but I'm having fun, I'm going to try Iron Banner tomorrow
Valid point but forcing players to enter using weapons that are not that good causing them to have a bad time kinda leaves a bad taste in their mouth there aren't exactly an abundance of void weapons that are people's first picks for crucible
