So old raid weapons will be able to upgrade to a max damage of 365! Assuming! What does this mean? It could possibly mean, we will be able to breeze through Vault of Glass, and Crota's End so... How do we balance this? Simple, Bungie will have a new max level cap of 35.
(Proof on this sketchy website: http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/science-technology/551687/Destiny-Bungie-House-of-wolves-release-date-level-cap-35)
So players will be level 35, and will have weapons that has a max damage of 365... Back to balancing this whole thing out, we simply make another difficulty level for all raids. Anyway, thats my idea... If you have any thoughts, or ideas incorporate them into the comment sections...

2 回复I've been saying add "legendary" difficulty to VoG make it light level 35. Drops give you already upgraded vog gear. (Meaning it can max out at 365 without the light) we are, after all, becoming legend.

4 回复Either way, in a level THIRTY raid, that is the maxdamage output. If the enemy is level 30 and you use the word of crota you hit 1504 crit spot. You use the 300 fatebringer. Guess what you hit for. You got it! 1504. But wait why did my 331 gun do the same as my 300 gun??!! Because there is a cap. Just like level 32 in vog doesn't increase damage given. Or taken.

4 回复Do people really stil mot know damage is capped if you are lv 30 wirh lv 300 damage weapons you will do the same damage as a lv 32 with 365 weapons in a lv 30 vog raid caps are caps

1 回复You'll still do the same damage on a lvl 30 VoG if you were using either a 300 damage or 365 weapon.

Three possible ways which include previous raids to be a higher difficulty. Assuming they're at light 34. 1) a high amount of ascendant/radiant materials which will solve the abundant amount that some players have accumulated. 2) new weapon/armor drops so you can be light level 34 with the proper weapons and armor for each event. 3) a new upgrade material specifically made for each raid, one for each different piece. Helmet, chest, arm, leg, primary, secondary, special. This will tie into their whole grind.

No idea how defense works. Though I do know roughly how attack works. Basically speaking there is a max amount of damage you can do to targets lower then you. Meaning weapons being at 365 won't make the older raids/end game content that much easier. The extra damage you would be doing wouldn't be a big enough difference to say make you walk through VoG on normal as if it was a random roc strike.

1 回复Max level is going to be 34. And who knows, maybe they will add another difficulty to the raids, or just up the current hard modes.

14 回复由Chops编辑: 4/21/2015 4:25:58 AMOmfg another one who doesn't understand damage numbers. Damage numbers mean what percentage of the possible damage a weapon can do at a specific level. Even though Fatebringer and a 331 damage hand cannon with the same impact have different damage numbers, both will do the same damage to a level 30 enemy. However, the Fatebringer's damage begins to drop off above 30, while the 331 will still do max potential damage up until level 32 enemy. Same concept as a level 2 Dreg being able to kill you.

1 回复I say leave the raids alone. We don't need some new "very hard mode" crap. We need the higher light level of 34 for Prison of Elders. Allowing old items to be upgraded just makes the older raids easier and give we the player more customization in our loadouts.
