With explosive rounds: Around 1305 crit
With field scout: Around 1505 crit
The explosive rounds spreads the 200 damage to near by enemies. Takes away from the critical damage. I rather have more crit. But that's just me

If you kill an enemy with a critical hit while explosive rounds is active you wont see the explosive damage that would hit after since the bullet killed the enemy before it could register. Explosive rounds do not do less damage.

Granted in this example the difference is small: 4514 with Field Scout/SPS 3010+1505 = 4515 wth ER The difference is significant on the fanatics from VoG for some reason. Where without ER they take 2 shots, they take 1 with it. The fact that people such as yourself continue to ignore the evidence is hilarious. Just go and test it yourself. If it's a thing that gets 1 shot by a crit with ER then the second number doesn't show up, test it on something big like a knight then add both numbers up and compare to a single crit from Field Scout. If by some ridiculous reason you're referring to "overall crit damage" as the yellow number, then you're being stupid. The ER damage of course comes up as a second number but the total of those two numbers is always higher than a single crit without ER. This is even true in crucible.

I just tested it. I will concede the point that [i]with fatebringer[/i], the total damage on a headshot is the same. It increases overall damage on a body shot (which I've known). However, this is not the case with explosive rounds on other weapons. I had a badger with ER, and it put out less overall damage on a crit than the standard round. It also greatly interferes with precision [i]kills[/i], meaning perks like firefly and outlaw don't trigger. In other words, you're still better off without ER.
