Listen, I understand where you come from... But gjallahorn is a weapon that is only used properly in the correct hands. This past nightfall (2 manned it Titan/hunter aggressively) - Titan ruin wings, illuminated weapons of light & gjallahorn. We got his health down to about half from one bubble with gjallahorn and synths. Made the rest of the encounter a bit less stressful. Solo'd the dark below last night, needed blessing on light for boomer shots, so the only way to take down crota was 2 gjallahorns. I'm sure other combos would work, but when everything's coming after you at once, it's tough. The majority of people with a gjallahorn would not use it this way. They would be the guys taking all the heavy ammo for themselves in pvp. Just so many noobs.
