I guess I cheesed it because I hid like a frightened mouse under the stairs (albeit a heavily armed mouse) It's hard to call it cheese though when you can [i]still[/i] get killed above the light and under the stairs. All you're doing is using the environment as it is to stay safe in the face of some pretty terrible enemy modifiers. No one glitches out of the map or made themselves invulnerable. I don't know why everyone thinks it's "legit" to stand up in front of Valus like you have a bullseye on your forehead just begging him to shoot you.
