No other reason other than drop rate. Like raid weapons, there should be crucible only legendary drops. I know the quartermaster has stuff but it drops from cryptarch and nightfalls. I don't play a lot of crucible but the ppl that play a lot shouldn't be punished by the terrible drop rates . you have a better chance getting something from strikes and they're far easier.
