I've done better with rAndom people off of forums (effectively the same as match making) than I have with the regular people I play casually with. Match making works for some, if it's optional it won't hurt anyone who doesn't want it.

That is actually what I am kind of worried about. The community for Destiny currently is 'shaky' at best some times. I think that match making, in a way, could potentially poison it worse than it was before. I do feel really bad for people who don't have many people to play with. I was at that point once where I didn't have a lot of people to play with. I just think that there might be a better way for a LFG channel to work. Like a voice channel in tower or something like that instead of having the whole randomized group. I guess I kind of think of match making kind of like I think of Destiny's current RNG system for loot at times. It can be awesome or you can have 15 chatter whites and nothing else to show for it.
