Forgot to address the $60 and no one gripes thing. CoD has been the same for 7 years. You already know how its gone be. They just add a twist of flavor each time. BF same goes there. Huge massive battles. That's why people get it. Titanfall was last year and doesn't count. Evolve is entirely new MP style. People gripe about Destiny because we were told things would be one way and weren't. Expectations are high because Bungie hyped everything so high. You reap what you sow.

CoD beats Destiny in story and PvP hands down. When it comes to co op that's gonna be personal preference but I give Destiny the edge there but barely. Battlefield also wins story and PvP over Destiny. Destiny wins co op by default cuz BFH doesn't have it. Evolve is an entirely new concept of multiplayer so shouldn't be considered. Titanfall wins in PvP but that's all it has. So Destiny wins by default.

It's difficult not to have high expectations when a developer shows you what was supposed to be a vast area of "playable" space, and you only receive a fraction of it. Player expectations were high, sure, but they weren't completely arbitrary.
