So I have a near- 2 year old, and we're expecting our second child in...*does the math*...two weeks and two days. My wife has been nesting like crazy, and has been staying up till past midnight. She's nuts. I play when she goes to bed, but she's been outlasting me for weeks now.
No time for me then! Last night I was convinced I was going to make it. But 3 hours of assembling a dresser (aided by my toddler "helping") later I was done and ready to knock out.

I am doing a tonne of work for my HNC in software development and my GF is lashing out at me to (also expecting sept this year). After sitting on the computer from 9 am to about 3PM doing Use case diagrams + descriptions, CRC cards, HCI, storyboards and all the other things that go along with software development i just want to relax and play some games, She seems to think that sitting on the computer is not tiring but it really takes it out of me. Gets worse when i actually get to coding and i'm writing 100's and sometimes into the thousand lines of code that after writing i need to test and debug and recode. Then she turns that into "i never see you " what does she think is gonna happen when i get a job monday to friday 9 till 5? that she'll magically get more time with me?

I'm an auditor, and stare at Excel spreadsheets and pdfs for 8-9 hours a day. It is tiring, I get it. You learn to live without it. A kid demands the attention, and you're too damn tired the first few weeks anyway. Then you settle into a schedule, then can sacrifice some sleep to play a bit.
