It's ferocious

100% of people who have died after the age of 1 have had some form of oxygen
100% serial killers have breathed oxygen
69% of immature people laugh at this statistic

8 回复There is such thing as too much of a good thing. Our bodies are composed mostly of water, which us composed of an oxygen atom to each 2hydrogen. Drinking too much water can kill you as well, so I don't find this fact overwhelming. Our bodies chemistry is just that, a chemical equation that has found the balance, and processes necessary to keep these chemicals balanced. Let's not forget that all that is needed to create life was water in the first place. Though, I have a hard time believing that all we are comprised of is water, blood and bone. We received something else when we are in the womb that is clearly non physical. The chemist that created us has considered our hearts to be more than an elaborate system of valves and arteries. It's the life force that disperses that chemistry throughout our bodies and supplies us with the ability to live. The heart is the key to life as the brain is the lamp to perception.

3 回复Believe it or not, oxygen is actually poisonous. But it has to be in MASSIVE amounts. Even if you're entire body was a lung you wouldn't be able to breath enough oxygen to kill you.

1 回复Oxidization is part of the breakdown of our cells. Oxidization aka rust is the same reaction as burning just slower. Therefore we are slowly burning to death because of oxygen.

If Earths atmosphere were 100% Oxygen, centipedes and other small insects would be humungous. Twice the size of a Human if I remember correctly. [/spoiler]
