I'm not bashing the artist per say but rather bashing whoever classifies it. This post stemmed from seeing two artists win awards that I felt did not fit them. Last year Lorde beat out Linkin Park for best Rock Video of the year. Then at the Grammys this year Paramore won best Rock song when I felt there were a ton more acceptable artists who produced more rock centered content than Paramore. This is all just my opinion though and in no way do I take all of this too seriously to the point where it affects my lifestyle.

I wasn't calling you an asshole, if that's what it looked like. Music should be enjoyable. I like listening to electronica, and believe me the amount if sub genres is ridiculous. That's why I don't focus on classification. People that do, and who make the type of music their main facet of personality, are kinda sad. I do agree that it's frustrating not to see the artists you like get recognition, but also realize that it doesn't change anything. They aren't going to stop making music because of it. It's just an award.
