The problem is hardcore players don't have a goal anymore. Once your a level 32 and have all the weapons you want there is very little motivation to play. I used to be a huge Warhawk player on the ps3. It took an insane amount of time to get to general I spent at least 1200 hours in Warhawk and loved every minute of it. Once I got to my goal of getting to general it was like it is now on destiny. No more motivation. Both games are still fun to play every now and then but not like when you had a goal to capture.
