This article is written by a scrub. Someone who is obviously not very good at this game. Hard mode crota is a joke now. I can see that some people are getting burned out by frustration because they just aren't good at this game.
I wish people would understand that it's not the glitches in hard mode that are killing you, but the fact that you suck at this game.
So much whining and butt hurt. It all reads "oh I hate this game because I can't beat hard mode and don't have the gear I want, therefore this game was never any good." Wtf. Go play Fifa and stfu.

Lack of content, chasing the same old carrot, doing the same things over and over.. has nothing to do with whether he's any good or not. Being good has nothing to do with having a perfect run on Crota, only to have the swordbearer run into the ogre room not once, but twice. It has nothing to do with having a perfect run, then the sword bearer dies because Crota doesn't kneel when his shield is down, or the sword drops and disappears, or disappears too quickly. Frankly, Crota is boring. If you have the timing, all you need is a decent sword runner and a lack of a glitch that wipes the fireteam, Crota is cake and hardly presents a challenge. 90% of defeating Crota is the quality of the Sword runner and being lucky enough to avoid the arbitrary glitches. Being able to beat him is no indication of the quality of the player.

What are all these glitches people talk about, I've seen a few of them but I guess people have crappy internet connections. Every bug I've heard about is netcode and lag related and fixable by changing hosts (granted this takes some basic knowledge of the game, which is asking a lot of the general playing population). I still believe people claim "bugs and glitches" because they lack the skill and firepower to clear the game. I've even heard people saying the swordbearer hiding and running around is a glitch, it's not. You need people on your team with good sniper rifles and the ability to hit head shots. The simple fact is, some people are not skilled enough to do hard mode, they get nervous and anxious and choke, just like in their real lives. They are chokers.

As far as lag, gamers shouldn't have to know how to solve the issue. There's no reason the code can't include a latency check and simply prevent someone with a terrible connection from hosting. This is mainstream console gaming meant for the masses (ie casual gamers); this is not back in the days when only hardcore pc gamers played and you had to be "knowledgeable". Hell, I design, deploy, and maintain large networks and I don't know the specifics of Destiny's net code, nor do I care to. I just want to log in and play. Still, the entire point is that "skill" has nothing to do with lack of things to do in a game. I've cleared hm CE plenty of times, and I still agree with pretty much every thing he said. What I didn't agree with, I can still understand his point of view.

Even if he isn't as good at the game as you think he should be, why do you feel that anyone who has an opinion diff. from yours shouldn't be allowed to express it? Seems a bit narrow minded and uneducated to me, but you could just be a really smart mean person i suppose.....

I applaud your "ghost hunting" abilities (looking up locations online and then walking to them in game is hard...) but that doesn't make you good at this game, Nor does pounding through Atheon ad infinitum. The author is obviously having trouble with the end game content and is taking his frustration out by condemning the entire games system. I find this to be ridiculous, just like pvp players getting on YouTube and saying how boring destiny is. How can you talk about the games content or lack thereof when you aren't capable of beating it? If you have beaten every part of the game several times (like myself) then you at least have the qualifications (imo) to form an educated opinion on the game. The author is simply not qualified to speak about the end game content because he can't pull it off. After he runs sword on hard mode and beats it, then he can talk.

Apparently you are criticizing and article you didn't even read, or if you did you're fixated on one point (much like Bungie is fixated on RNG). His complaints regarding the glitches in hard CE makes up about 10% of the overall article.
