So my girlfriend gets pissed when I come home from work and play until I gotta go to work the next morning... So I don't sleep anymore at all, I really don't wanna miss out on any Loot, so I spend all my hours spare grinding Phogoth strike over and over... But I need advice she seems pretty pissed lately and acting as if I must choose between her and work or Destiny! It's pretty selfish of her IMO. I don't know if to break up with my girlfriend or give up playing for a few months....
Please reply with some advice fellow Guardians!
Thanks

Step 1) Determine how important this girl actually is to you. If she's not important at all, dump her. Don't string her along if you're not invested in the relationship. It's unfair to her if she's gonna play second fiddle to your gaming habits. If she IS important to you, go to Step 2 Step 2) Find a balance between spending time with her and your gaming. Talk to her and see what exactly she wants in terms of spending time. Does she want a date night once a week? Does she expect you to drop everything for her? These are important considerations, not only for the "Right now" but also the future. My personal experience is that it's not difficult to make time for Destiny and girlfriend. For example, my girlfriend is a flight attendant. She can be gone for 3-4 days at a time per week. That's a lot of time I can game without worrying about her. But when she comes home, she gets my undivided attention. She's a bibliophile(reads a ton) so once she's seen me and spent time with me, she goes back to reading some new series and I go back to gaming.

One its a game.... I love destiny but you need to come back to the real world ok. Two tell her your sorry and try to plan your time out of work so you can do both. Show her that you care You need to just take a step back and think about it.

You're an idiot. You are choosing a game over real life. Put down the controller and she's some time with your girl. If you are choosing the game over her you are either stupid or don't really care much for her. It's a game and nothing more.

Step 1. Think...do you love her? If you don't, is the pootang worth it? Step 2. Get a group of friends Step 3. Stop grinding phogoth strike Step 4. Never give up Destiny Step 5. If you go down on her scream..WEVE AWOKEN THE HIVE!!!!!! She will leave you prolly n happy times for destiny

1 回覆Find a good balance. Talk to your girl. Explain that you love playing and it's a great way for you to relax after a day at work. But don't play all day every day. Pick your days to log on like Tuesday for the refresh and Friday for xur. Or play the game around her schedule. If your home when she is not that could be your time to play. Talk to her about just playing for the first hour or two that you get he and dedicate the remainder of your time before bed to her and your fam. I understand the destiny addiction but when it comes down to it. It's just a game. Hope this helps

由ValorDLX編輯: 1/20/2015 12:21:32 PMListen to @IronLung6920... Just be brave and make your own decisions. And gauge your priorities... At this juncture, she is dealing you ultimatums/threatening you. And you feel worried enough to ask for advice, and fear leaving one thing or the other... Sounds like alot of stress, right? Choose the thing that makes you happiest. In the end, you won't regret it as much. Btw, there's billions of women on the planet. Play this game until it goes stale if it's what you wanna do for relief after work...
I've gone through this too...Assert yourself and see what she decides...
5 回覆由conceptember編輯: 1/20/2015 8:41:59 AMAre you serious? If you're choosing a video game over your girlfriend then you need to set your priorities straight. Your girlfriend is going to be here for as long as you want her to be. Destiny isn't. If you really need to ask for advice then you obviously lack common sense. Spend time with her and not the game idiot And you're calling HER selfish?? God I wish I could punch you in the face

1 回覆As a 28 year old male let me say that if your woman doesn't approve of your gaming you can either: A) Cut back to try and make her happy if she is really "the one". Or B) Let her break up with you and find someone who enjoys gaming or at least supports your hobby. A lot of families spend 4-6 hours watching mindless television a day so for anyone to sit there and say, "Gaming is mindless" is purely ignorant. Me personally, I don't let anyone dictate my life. If my girlfriend doesn't approve of my hobbies(video games, guns, going to the range, etc) then tough crap,go find someone else . I've gotten to the point in my life and career where I (strong emphasis on "I") want to be happy, and if playing games, hanging with friends, watching sports, etc and no one will get in the way of MY happiness. I put others including relationships before my own wants and happiness before and you know what? It didn't mean squat in the end anyway because there will ALWAYS be a problem no matter what. Hope you make the right choice that benefits YOU and makes YOU happy. Goodluck bro.

If you're in a relationship, you need to be the significant other in the relationship. It sounds like you have a major issue with gaming. I had an ex that was just like you and I dropped him real quick. Don't get me wrong, I'm a gamer too. I love playing games, but when you're in a relationship you have responsibilities and priorities.
