Thorn is the best pvp gun in the game
Ok, I said it. I couldn't stop, thorn imo is the best PvP gun currently. Now I know all you hawkmoon users will be jumping and saying no way. But no disrespect, thorn destroys hawkmoon on a more consistent basis. Thorn was awesome before the update, with the increased mag and reload, I just go on sprees now with my gunslinger. The ttk is ridiculous and the dot overpenetrates and some rare scenarios can shoot 2 people at the same frikkin time. The last word and voc come close to a challenge as well but loose out on versatility. The vex is still not great in PvP, and Suros is almost non existent after the nerf. Thorn is awesome, what do you guys think?

1 回覆Nothing beats the last word, period. Op gun. Will get nerfed most likely. Untill then im loving it.

2 回覆its a good gun, i still get out gunned by suros, vex, ar's in general when using it, if you use it right though, as in move about and be a hard target to hit, it can be effective, its still the same gun that it has been since launch, except for 3 extra bullets and quicker reload, i don't know why all the attention has been brought onto the thorn now, its always performed well in pvp..........ive had good games with it and bad......suros is still probably the best all rounder.

1 回覆I have both. Thorn for me personally is better. Hawkmoon is great but the dot on thorn plus penetrating rounds and insanely fast fire rate is what I prefer.

3 回覆Bad Juju is the best PVP gun. Stick with it until you get the stability and String of Curses upgrade. Makes it an absolute monster.

1 回覆Thorn is awesome in PVP, but for PVE I use Hawkmoon. You are completely right when you say that Thorn beats HawkMoon in the crucible.

1 回覆It most certainly is not... Vex Mythoclast is....I consistently get more kills and and higher k/d when using this weapons - I'm an objective whore too. That being said it's all opinion and no one cares.

6 回覆It would be nice if they limit the range of pistols, they currently can out damage a scout rifle at long range which defeats the purpose of pistols being a close range weapon. Personally, I hardly die to pistols, it's mostly machine guns these days, and lack of having decent team mates.

1 回覆Theres no best gun . Im feeling to keeps all lvl 1 guns or the lowest level of all guns i can find that i use just to demonstrate. I admit tho when i get dps by thorn it disorientates me ... #lovethisgame

2 回覆Hawkmoon is still by far way better. I outgun every thorn user because my 2nd shot is off before they can think about firing the 2nd. No 2nd shot means no dot which means no kill. They keep coming back for more and it makes it even better.

5 回覆Been using atheons epilogue to do the thorn bounty and it wrecks people who use thorn lol as soon as you start getting shot by a rapid fire weapon the accuracy must go to shit.

1 回覆Thorn is a great weapon for making players back down because of the burn. People usually aren't sure exactly how long the burn will last so they back off to make sure they don't die. It's also great for assisting your team because even a body shot will do considerable damage to help weaken the opponent for your team. That being said I still prefer TLW because I am a close up player.

6 回覆It's a situational gun. If you can't control what's happening around you to hit important shots without getting hit too much, you won't do well with it. TLW destroys Thorn in close quarters, but can't compete with its precision and TTK over distances. I'd still say Hawkmoon is better than thorn, but I'm on xbox so that's not an option.
