The OP is still the only person that I've heard say that Doctor Nope is actually good. I still don't get it. A steady hand combined with patience and time will still not pull on the SUROS. The stability and range penalty affected by the Nerf can easily be countered with the range and stability perks, making the Suors a laser beam.
Honest to god I don't think I've ever lost a gun battle to Doctor Nope. Seriously. My Vanquisher and SUROS eats Nope like a snack. And Grim citizen? I dismantled that piece of shit once I earned my Vanquisher from New Monarchy.
To address the raid issue, that's not something I can comment on because I've never done the raid and am doing PVP almost exclusively.I got to level 29 through crucible, nightfall strikes, and public events exclusively.
But anyhow, I don't feel like the SUROS belongs in your PVE/Raid arsenal to begin with, or any exotic primary for that matter. Exotic special weapons out-perform exotic primaries in PVE by a long shot.
All in all, SUROS is still a PVP death machine and I went 24-0 the other day in Clash on Exodus Blue only using the SUROS. A couple guys on the other team had Doctor Nope as well. Seeing as how Exodus is like the super close range map and Doctor Nope is pretty much only effective at close range, I still don't understand why you like Nope, but I respect your opinion nonetheless and find it interesting that you can actually perform with it.

I am a close to midrange fighter. I prefer not to fight long distance but i can handle a 1 on 1 long distance fight with that gun. I'm not saying it's the best AR but it's definitely my favorite and first gun to max out. The vanquisher is better but i haven't maxed it out yet so I don't use it in pvp. The Suros used to be a bit of a cheat in my hands prior to the patch in pvp which is why i didn't use it there. Grim Citizen has incredible range and kills people in about 6-8 accurate headshots. Some people prefer impact over rate of fire. The range improvement perk and stability improvement perk can't be assigned at the same time on Suros. Contrary to what you believe the Suros and any other favored exotic primary is a great choice for pve and raids unless you have a elemental primary appropiate for the mission. The Suros used to be my goto weapon to tackle high level difficult enemies in the raids, making them more manageable. Most exotic weapons in other slots aren't very useful in raids except for ice breaker and gallahorn. I don't usually play clash. I stick to control unless if i want bonus xp for playing the pvp mode of the day nonetheless I would be interested in playing a match with you and checking out how you perform with that weapon since patched.

Yeah I can see what you're saying Sef. It would be cool to play together sometime if you're on PS4 just add me Black_Symnos. I can use the SUROS and you can use Nope and we can see how each other performs with our gun of choice. But by the way, the thing the maxes SUROS stability isn't really a perk per say it's like the barrel attachment thingy that decreases range and impact slightly but then I just use hammer forged perk to re-up the range. Personally I've never used Nope so now I really want to try it! I actually commend you for using it since it's not so cookie-cutter. I actually don't use it that often anymore just because it doesn't feel unique and special since everyone and their dog is running SUROS haha. In regards to PVE I suppose you're right as well. I still found myself using SUROS in this most recent nightfall strike. I really screwed up not buying icebreaker last week I want that infinite ammo and now I have like 50 strange coins and wonder why I didn't buy it. Oh well, here's to hoping for Plan C or The Last Word this week from Xur. What is everyone else hoping for?
