One glorious day in the digital future these scum sucking money grubbing publishers will become obsolete and developers will publish everything direct to digital - the world will be a better place.
The disc whores who must have physical copies are the one's stopping this from happening.

It won't happen, Australia's Internet is 3rd world county grade. 90% of ISPs still have bandwidth limits LOL and adsl2 onry.. 1-2mbs . Takes about a day and half to download anything now. It would stop all Aussies playing games! 😭😭

While I have gone download where I can, I have well over 200 games for my PS3 currently. Storage space becomes an issue. I check the size of install between disc vs download and if they are reasonably close, download wins. My storage is not infinite however and there are some games I like use on my other systems without needing to activate my account (you can only have 2 at a time) and downloading it all over again. The bonus is that 1 download purchase gives me 2 playable copies for the multiplayer games that my wife and I like. If I was able to have my account on 5 systems like we originally could, download would win everytime (my kids are gamers as well).
