Even though I am unable to enter the Vault of Glass I was looking for some information about what type of gear and team make up of classes and weapons, etc. players were using to attempt it and find success for when I attempt it with my friends. I stumbled onto a video that showed how to glitch past the gate entrance and view what lay behind the gate itself. This next part may contain spoilers for those who want to see or experience the vault fresh for the first time, so do not read any further if you wish to have a fresh experience to the raid. SPOILER ALERT: After glitching past the gate I was not met with enemy resistance all the way down until where I assume where the puzzle area began. I believe it was because I was not in a six man team or because I had glitched in because there were definitely areas for spawning enemy. There are moveable blocks of various sizes that appear to need to be placed into a pattern, somehow stacked for jumping, placed into a gap in front of a 'door' or used in some fashion for further passage. The 'door' is the only area I saw that had a glowing series of small images of pixel sized squares and lines. They resembled images of what I had seen on Vex spires and other Vex construction, but am unsure if they actually mean something related to a puzzle key. After playing with the blocks for quite some time I still had no idea of the use for them. They are not easy to move and I had to use grenades and supers to maneuver them around. After a while I returned to the gate entrance and watched a series of attempts, via players waypoints outside the gate as teams made attempts to open the gate. Most were level 24 or 25 teams with 5 or 6 members and none were successful at even opening the gate. A couple teams invited me into their chat to ask me how I got inside and I told them of the glitch. One team entered as I did just to have a look inside, but soon realized they were not going to be able to proceed any further than I did due to using the glitch. The other teams did not want to cheat there experience so I told them nothing about the interior. One thing was certain, these guys were all very serious about wanting to get in and tried a series of techniques. Controlling the opening devices outside the gate all at the same time appeared to be the key ,but none of the teams were able to do so. One thing I can say is that from what I observed and heard is that teams need to have a good mix of classes, varying focus', the right weapons and weapon set ups, varying jumping abilities and coordination to get in and move forward. I know I have not given you all too much information, but Bungie designed the attempt for a 6 man team for a reason. I can say for myself that using the glitch to see inside of the vault has lessened my experience, but I have not watched or viewed and video or used any farming techniques or glitches prior to this one because I wanted to enjoy the game as it was intended. If you want a pure experience, don't do what I did. Take the time to figure it out as it was meant to be. The glitch appears to be there for a reason and has been known about for a while, so I guess Bungie is okay with it being there.
