Random Ambush in Destiny Beta - Explain Please?
This might be a little late but I have a mystery to solve from the Destiny Beta.
Myself and 2 friends were waiting in an area for an event to happen (the area where the Hive and the Fallen fight each other, the name fails me), and we waited for maybe 10 or 15 minutes but nothing happened. All of a sudden a MASSIVE amount of random enemies spawned out of nowhere, big groups of bosses appeared as well as level 7 Captains and Wizards, also around 2 or 3 Servitors and a huge amount of Dregs/Shanks etc. The whole battle lasted quite a while before they stopped spawning.
The thing is we tried to replicate the "ambush" and they never spawned there after that occurence, leading me and my friends to think that some employee at Bungie was watching us wait in that area and decided to troll us by spawning an army to mix things up. Can anyone confirm this? Did anyone else experience something like this?

Thanks for all the replies, I thought I was going crazy lol we had started to get paranoid about it, as Bungie confirmed everyone in the studio was watching the beta. We were thinking they saw us waiting for the "defend the thing from enemies" event and decided to just throw as many enemies as possible at us. We laughed our a.sses off at the time and it's hilarious looking back at the 30 second clip I got of it.

Your ghost will say something like "The enemy advances towards each other" or whatever, and then they just have a huge battle. I remember the first time it happened to me, I ran in the middle and thought my rumble response was gonna break. It was just me and some random dude caught up in it, I think I died like five times. It's mayhem. Was actually probably one of my favorite things from the beta.
