Another publication, Bubble News, claims to have lots more details about this year's Call of Duty game. A source has told the site that the game is called Call of Duty: Patriots and Smith Black is actually the name of one of its main characters. It is reportedly in development for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC only, not Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or Wii U.
As for its setting, Bubble News has learned that Call of Duty: Patriots will be set during a fictional version of World War 1, and the game will reportedly have a "fantasy" element. One example provided is that one of the main characters is actually from a past Call of Duty title, but in an alternate reality. The site goes on to claim that Call of Duty: Patriots has both single- and multiplayer modes, and that the single-player mode is playable via online co-op. Splitscreen won't be offered, according to the report.
Finally, the main campaign is expected to last six hours, the site says. However, it's rumored that there will be two sub-campaigns. In addition, developer Sledgehammer Games is planning Call of Duty: Patriots to be a three-part series, according to the report. Lastly, Call of Duty: Patriots is rumored to launch November 14.
None of the above information is confirmed, so until we hear directly from Activision, you should take these details with a grain of salt.

This ought to be a bit of a refreshing take on the series. We better be able to use a shit-ton of guns. I'm tired of the limited selection in these games. I want to see every damn gun of that era. Both good and bad. And they better have a fucking mosin nagant in that game or I'll flip.

Get rid of the whole fantasy and alternate reality shit then I'd actual consider buying a CoD title for the first time since MW2 came out. Call of Duty was an amazing series when it stuck with it's historical WW2 settings and was decent with it's take on modern combat

Maybe Sledge Hammer will truly innovate with this 'new' (Read: Not Copy and Pasted) game by showing an opposite perspective i.e. the 'enemy's... 1 回覆由Pfhortnite編輯: 4/30/2014 5:39:03 PMYeah, there's no way that this is World War I. The only way I could see this Call of Duty working is if that the alternate timeline would revolve around a World War I that lasted well beyond 1918, due to the type of helmet and the beanie/skullcap. That could be where the fantasy element comes from, similar to how Wolfenstein: The New Order is speculative fiction, also known as fantasy fiction. Seeing how World War I is post industrial revolution and in itself had a booming weapons industry, an elongated war would demand better weapons technology, giving them room to make fictional optics and other attachments. The DMR class makes room for a rifle exclusive class, too. Edit: Also, the map Origins could give us some insight on what they're going for, such as what they did with the Mauser C96. Edit 2: The sky in the photo could indicate that the game takes place in London (since they usually have grey skies), an area where land combat in World War I never reached.

由ToastyWaffles編輯: 4/30/2014 7:27:12 PMCall of Duty should be redefined as a science fiction series with time-travel and multiple realities. Every CoD series is a divergent reality caused by Hitler's fish AI. Ghost, Shepherd and Dog must go back in time to kill him so the future never happens.

Rumour? K. World War 1? Nope. The weapons aren't as good. I don't believe this shit "Welp we've finished flogging world war 1 and 2 to death, so let's move onto modern warfare! Brilliant idea! Welp, we've finished flogging Modern Warfare to death, let's start flogging World War 1 and 2 again! Brilliant!" Christ, Activision's thick. Ghosts is Modern Warfare 3 Part 2, and now Sledgehammer's Call of Duty is potentially going to be Call of Duty 2 Part 2?? What next, are they going to flog futuristic war to death in Black Ops III and IV? Christ these people make me sick; swarming everything and sucking it dry of creative potential before moving onto the next big thing and cannabalising that whole as well; Christ these people make me sick... I'm sick of them cannabalising and overdoing literally everything...
