What're little habits you have in various open world games? For instance, when I play Fallout I usually dismember the people I kill, or at least remove their heads and hide them away from the rest of their bodies. And in Oblivion and Skyrim I tend to collect skulls I pick up at random places.
But one universal habit i've made, and I noticed that it's happened more over the years rather than less, i'm a bit of a perfectionist in RPGs or games similar to them. I always have to do something EXACTLY right or make a build EXACTLY how I want it. If I start getting too off course I scrap it and start over. It can get a little annoying after a while, especially in Dark Souls, so i'm trying to do it less.
What about you guys? What little habits do you tend to have in open world games? (I don't give a rat's ass if this isn't gaming, if it's really that big a deal then someone else can relocate it.)

I always need multiple characters who are good/bad, and am a total pack rat. I hated how you could have you character change specializations and do whatever you want as that character. I like having class builds and focusing on that character being good or bad. So in Skyrim I had 2 characters good and bad. However, in Oblivion, since your character was bound to his class, I made well over 20 characters, probably 30. I liked that a lot more tbh. And then I have a constant habit of looting everything possible from dead bodies and keeping all of it. My Breezehome had a specific drawer or chest for everything. And I just crammed them full of my days rewards.

12 回覆If someone has irritated me then I'll spend a while brutally killing them and reloading like some sort of twisted groundhog day. Then I carry that vendetta over to the next playthrough. For example - the guy outside goodsprings who lies about the geckos and his daughter. Fool me once, die every time I leave goodsprings and suffer for eternity ._.

1 回覆Noticably in fallout games, I MUST collect every rare weapon. And I will exploit my way to every last one if I have to. And, I have an irrational need to collect ammo. And not just a small stockpile. We're talking something that could put entire armies to shame. The operation anchorage glitch in 3 made me a happy camper. I was doing the glitch, and looked at my ammo count. 10 million assault rifle rounds. The little voice in my head convinced me that I could run out of that much ammo. So in the end, I walked out with 1 Billion assault rifle rounds. 710 billion mini gun rounds. 400 billion something flamethrower rounds. And billions and millions of the other types.

8 回覆由Elegiac編輯: 4/29/2014 3:12:31 AMI need to play as a white male, otherwise... well, I don't know what happens; I've never played as anything except a white male. But I'm not racist. I married a Dunmer. In fact, I've hated Nords since Morrowind, so my greatest joy in Skyrim was bringing the whole forsaken place under Imperial control.

You know that alleyway ambush that bum leads you into in Freeside on New Vegas? After I killed all the ambushers I proceeded to chop up the bodies and dump them in nearby dumpsters. I also regularly kill hobos for no reason.

2 回覆I save everything. I broke an Oblivion save because of how much stuff I had in one chest.

2 回覆由Morgan Freeman編輯: 4/29/2014 5:14:54 PM-I have to collect at least one of all the weapons and armor/clothing available. Been like that since Fable. -I don't like NPCs dying that don't have to die. This required a lot of reloading in Skyrim with random dragon and vampire attacks on settlements. -If it's possible to max my character I do so as soon as possible. For instance, I'm level 98 in Skyrim with all skills at 100 legitimately and haven't even started the main quest. I think I may suffer from slight OCD...

Vengeance, if someone kills me i will make them suffer, i will decapitate and dismember them and then juggle the limbs, then i will wipe out all of their friends and family. And i have a tendancy to make my own story, like in Fallout NV i just decided to fuck the campaign and set off on a mission to kill my attacker, in the end i killed the entire casino, blood splattered on doors from my silent-LMG rampage, and it sort of ended up that i completed the game only by doing the first three and last three missions

1 回覆Search everything. I may have 5 million gold, but that won't stop me from digging through every chest and pot for 1 gold a piece.
